A beautiful exhibition of new original watercolours by local artists; Jenny Musker and Jonathan Wheeler.
Jenny Musker is known for her detailed wildlife watercolours. Having recently moved house to Drumoak, she has been inspired by the birdlife that she has observed in her new garden. Over the past 8 months she has been creating a new planting area to encourage birds, bees and butterflies to visit. Twenty siskins, eleven starlings and nine robins have been fighting for nesting spaces and have been a source of inspiration for her new paintings.
Jenny also works in miniature and is a member of several miniature art societies, including the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors, and Engravers. She has won many prestigious awards and her works are in collections across the UK, South Africa, Canada and the USA.
Jonathan Wheeler has made a full-time profession of his very vivid style of art, constantly finding new ways to express his passion for the beauty of the Highlands and its architectural heritage through his chosen medium of watercolour. Jonathan was born in Lancashire in 1958 and lived in Australia, Brazil and different parts of the United Kingdom before settling down to live in the Highlands, having built an ecological house at Findhorn in Moray.
He exhibits his work in galleries around the UK and his work has travelled internationally, including to the USA, Canada, Australia and Brazil.
