Anita creates artworks with an illustrative style in ink. Influences are varied but she often returns to folk tales and fables for inspiration. Her works are sometimes figuritive or depict animals and nature with a highly stylised pen style, experimenting with pattern and detail.
New “characters” are always emerging and her recent series “Quirky Quines” shows whimsical storytelling influenced by rural & urban Scotland.
Anita lives and works in Aberdeen, she has a background in graphic design and silk screen printing and has been exhibiting with local groups for around 25 years whilst pursuing a career in childcare management.
In 2011 Anita returned to art as her full time occupation, something she always dreamed of doing and has exhibited work further a field in London, Edinburgh, Austrailia and the U.S.
