The following workshops will be run by Pat Davidson and Irene Strachan. The cost of the workshops is £80 per person per workshop. Students should bring all their own materials they wish to use i.e. drawing tools, pens, paints, paper, canvas. All workshops will take place at the Milton Art Gallery.
Students should bring along a packed lunch. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Irene Strachan – Since graduating in 2007 with a BA Hons in painting from Grays School of Art in Aberdeen, she has continued to develop her artwork, concentrating mainly on abstract painting and collage. She has exhibited in various venues in and around the city.
Pat Davidson – Since graduating from Grays School of Art in 2007, she has taught portfolio classes at her studio and two of her students have since graduated from Grays. Her paintings are tactile. She uses corroded metals and images of found objects throughout her work. She has exhibited widely and currently has a solo exhibition at the Phoenix Centre at Newton Dee until November 20th.
An Introduction to Abstract Drawing and Painting – Friday 31st March 2017, 10 am – 4 pm. (Pat Davidson and Irene Strachan)
Explore your creativity with the use of colour, shape and texture.
The following workshops will be run by Mina Rusk. Places are limited to 8 persons per workshop, £40 per person, should you wish to attend please be sure to book a place in advance by calling 01330 844 664 or email email@example.com. Classes will run from 10.30am until 3.30pm, with a break for lunch. Students should bring along an apron and a hairdryer and some lunch. All materials, tools and equipment will be provided, firing costs will be included. All workshops will take place at the Milton Art Gallery. No previous experience with clay is necessary.
Garden Sculpture – Saturday 18th March 2017 Create ceramic flowers with paperclay, bright and colourful to enjoy all year round.
Wall Art – Sunday 28th May 2017 Create a masterpiece out of clay for your wall using different decorative techniques.
The gallery has workshop space and gallery space for hire.
