Arie Vardi was born in Chile, graduated in graphics in Jerusalem and has lived in Scotland since 1991. His original paintings are mainly inspired by a deep connection with the West Coast of Scotland. Perthshire and the Mediterranean. The deep elemental form s of the land in Scotland and in special the connective points of sea and shore are of particular interest.
Colour and Vibrancy are essential to the works and these in turn inspired by time spent in the Mediterranean He paints in Acrylics and oils.
He is also a contemporary jewellery designer. Inspired by the Scottish landscape echoing the shapes and forms of rocks flowers and the water, he beats and organically shapes silver and gold into his necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings.
